Welcome to the liminal space, or the ‘in-between’, where our companions live.

In between feeling like a child and being expected to behave like an adult. In between having everything figured out and just winging it. In between being who you really are and how you present yourself to those around you.

Our companions are the same - a bit awkward, a bit strange, not quite human, not quite toys. Some wear masks, some are still trying to figure out where they belong. But that’s okay. We are too.

At PlayLife, we believe that growing up doesn’t mean leaving everything behind; we don’t need to stop owning, collecting and playing. The way we do it just may look a little different.

Our companions are small enough to carry with you, to sit on your desk, to travel with you and to quietly become part of your everyday life. They don’t come with answers; in fact, we’d rather you give them some of your own. Your outfit, prop, and head choices, along with the name and personality you give them, make each one’s story different.

Because no one wakes up knowing how to grow up or be an adult. Perhaps we’re all just making it up as we go along.
